Inpatient Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist
Hours: Full time
Location: Surrey
Salary: £160,000 p/annum PLUS £10,000 singing on bonus & £8,400 car allowance!
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inpatient Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist to join a new 12-bedded CAMHS service in Surrey. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on the lives of young people aged 13-18 with general mental health issues, including disordered eating, in partnership with a local NHS trust.
Key responsibilities for the Inpatient Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist role:
- Review referrals and determine appropriateness for admission
- Conduct admission assessments and maintain effective management plans of all young people on the unit
- Conduct risk assessments and review regularly
- Allocate specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs
- Assess physical health
- Ensuring effective liaison with referring teams
- Facilitating regular CPA review meeting
- Act as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act
- Involvement in quality, inspections and governance processes
You will also be required to take part in the On Call Consultant rota.
Minimum requirements for the Inpatient Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist is:
- Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice
- Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders desirable
